Leaves begin changing,
The birds fly away.
Shorter and colder,
Each day after day .
Summer has ended,
In no time at all.
The wheels of our world,
Have turned to face fall.
Slowly the trees,
Once covered with life,
Lose hold of their leaves,
For natures delight.
Seasons of wonder,
How perfect they seem.
For bird and beasts,
The work is plenty.
Making sure,
their winters safe.
Packing food
And finding shelter,
To wait it out,
For the spring snow-melter.
The seasons will end,
When their time has past.
Though Autumn it seems,
Has only just begun.
